Ausbiz – Macquarie Technology (MAQ) a stock to watch

In my recent interview with Ausbiz, I discussed the current favourable conditions for investing in smaller companies. Small caps have seen a commendable increase of about 4% this year, driven by a combination of disinflation and positive economic growth. This represents a pivotal shift in market dynamics, moving from fears of recession to a more optimistic view of a soft landing, which in turn boosts the attractiveness of innovative growth companies in the small-cap sector.

I also shared my enthusiasm for the Macquarie Technology (ASX:MAQ). This company is set to gain considerably from the increasing enterprise-level migration to the cloud, a trend that promises to amplify cloud traffic and storage needs, enhanced further by the announcement of a new data centre expansion.
